Blue Ginger

de l’espèce

A bloom of a rare blue in the plant world
Blue ginger develops long, upright stems bearing glossy green foliage reminiscent of certain tropical understory plants. At the tips of the stems appear large clusters composed of numerous purplish-blue flowers with bright yellow stamens.
This intense color is relatively rare in the plant world, which explains the species' ornamental success in tropical gardens. The flowers bloom successively for several weeks and create a striking contrast with the surrounding foliage.
Thriving in rich soils and humidity, Dichorisandra thyrsiflora flourishes in areas protected from direct sunlight. Like the anthuriums, the medinillas or certain bromeliads, it contributes to the richness of tropical understory plant collections.
