About the garden
Every hour has its charm, whether it's the morning mist or the golden light of late afternoon. However, if you want to visit the garden when it's least crowded, we recommend coming in the morning right after opening.
No, it's an optional activity. You can still do the visit without taking the tree walk.
The route takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Once on the walkway, there is no turning back.
Access to the course is prohibited for children under 8 years old, children under 1.20m tall, individuals weighing over 110kg, pregnant women, and individuals suffering from heart conditions, epilepsy, asthma, severe allergies, or any other medical conditions that could be affected by the course. It is also strictly forbidden to complete the course with babies or young children in your arms, in a baby carrier, with a stroller, or any other means of transport (bicycle, scooter, etc.). For any other questions regarding the tree walk, please consult the rules and regulations.
A visit to the Balata Garden takes about 1.5 hours, but we recommend allowing 2 hours on site to fully enjoy the experience.
The walking route is a 1.6km walk.
The total area of the estate is 14 hectares. The garden is on a 5-hectare cultivated plot.
Prices and ticketing
Showers are possible, as the garden is located in a tropical environment. However, the tour remains perfectly manageable. The route is dotted with shelters where you can take shelter from the rain, while the vegetation creates a particularly pleasant atmosphere. For added comfort, ponchos are also available in the shop.

The annual subscription grants you unlimited access to the garden for one year from the date of purchase. You can access all activities, paying only the activity fee if applicable.
The digital version is sufficient, provided the barcode can be scanned. There's no need to print the ticket #protectourforests
The individual ticket is valid for 1 day. You have 3 months to use it from the date of purchase. The ticket is valid for the entire day and allows unlimited entries and exits on the day of the visit.

While we are delighted to see the photos of our charming visitors, shootings and films made by professionals are strictly supervised and must be subject to a contract. Please contact us by email for any request of this type.
Children are welcome. However, some activities are reserved for certain age groups. In all cases, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Pets are strictly forbidden in the park for health reasons and comfort for other visitors.

The entire route, except for the canopy, is stroller-friendly.

Picnics are not permitted in the garden. However, you can reserve a table at La Luciole, located right at the garden's entrance.
No, we do not offer guided tours at the Balata Garden. However, we occasionally organize storytelling tours and themed area tours. Follow us on social media to stay updated.
