A botanical garden the heart of Martinique.
All paradises are gardens, and it's no accident that the magic of the Balata Garden evokes such astonishing feelings in its visitors. It was in 1982 that Jean-Philippe Thoze, a horticulturist, landscape designer, and artist at heart, returned to the place of his childhood, his grandparents' Creole house. His love for Martinique and its biodiversity gave birth to an extraordinary garden where rare and spectacular plants flourish. A true tribute to the nature of the Flower Island. The garden, arranged around the family Habitation with its typical Creole architecture, is the result of a perfect alchemy between a return to his roots and an atypical artist.
